Melissa has experience across a broad range of civil and commercial matters, advising individuals, companies and societies on both contentious and non-contentious matters in the following areas: defamation, company law, directors' and shareholders' disputes, partnership, debt recovery, insolvency, employment, personal injuries, probate and administration, and a myriad of other civil and commercial matters.

Melissa has successfully led and assisted in mediations and settlements at all stages of a dispute, both before and after legal proceedings have commenced. Where an amicable resolution is not possible, she represents clients through the litigation process both at the Supreme and State Courts level. Melissa is focused on providing practical solutions aimed at achieving outcomes that align with her clients' goals in a cost-effective manner.

• Represented a client in a defamation suit involving the MCST and obtained favourable orders including an award for damages.
• Represented a client in a dispute under the Trustees Act and Settled Estates Act and sucessfully obtaining favouable orders.
• Representing a client and successfully obtaining summary judgment against the landlord of the leased premises.
• Represented a client in a claim against an association for declaratory relief and obtained favourable orders.
• Represented clients in mediations and secure settlements in claims exceedings SGD1 million.
