She graduated with a double degree in Law and Shariah Law (LLB & BSL) from Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) and was the sole University Medal recipient for her graduating course in 2024.
Since joining HEP Law in 2024, Iffah has been assisting with various civil and commercial litigation matters, including disputes involving multinational companies, as well as debt recovery matters.
Her corporate and commercial experience includes contract review and drafting, legal due diligence, corporate secretarial matters, regulatory and compliance advice and general corporate advisory work for clients across a range of sectors and matters, including real estate, telecommunications, healthcare, oil and gas, employment and immigration.
Iffah was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Brunei Darussalam in July 2025.

Experience
- Engaged by a Singapore-based foreign law practice to perform a limited due diligence on the Brunei subsidiary of a global, neutral and integrated telecommunications-infrastructure group for its Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) business, following an earlier preliminary comprehensive report by issuing a refresh of the report, flagging risks and setting out targeted improvement recommendations.
- Advised a Malaysia-based multinational provider of drilling for the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry on Brunei market entry, operating pathways, and potential exit strategies, including entity structuring; licences and permits; Bruneianisation and employment requirements; HSE and environmental compliance; maritime and customs requirements; and contracting and dispute resolution — resulting in a practical operating roadmap and delivered a stakeholder presentation to support consideration of entry into Brunei.
- Advised a multinational offshore drilling company who has long-standing contracts across America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia on the sale of its Brunei-operating rig and novation of the existing drilling contract to the buyer, particularly on the transferability and timelines for operational and HSE licences / safety case, temporary import / export constraints, required local regulatory approvals, and other legal restrictions.
- Advised a local satellite communications provider specializing in satellite communication solutions on a potential compensation / damages claim against an oil & gas company following damage to the client's gyro antenna by conducting a targeted review of the services agreement, purchase order, incident report and insurance policies, and advised on liability allocation, contractual remedies and insurance coverage/recovery options.
