Anja Chong

Associate

Family and Divorce

Anja is a Legal Associate in the Family and Divorce Practice Group.

Anja has experience advising clients on both contentious and non-contentious family law matters, including divorce and ancillary matters, custody and care and control disputes, maintenance claims for wives and children, division of matrimonial assets involving high-net-worth parties, Personal Protection Orders, and family violence matters. She also advises on the drafting of prenuptial agreements, separation deeds, and wills.

Prior to entering practice, Anja spent four years advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families on trust structuring, wealth succession, and family office governance. This background gives her a practical understanding of the complex asset structures — including trust assets, corporate shareholdings, and multi-jurisdictional holdings — that frequently arise in high-net-worth matrimonial proceedings. It has also given her significant experience navigating sensitive family dynamics and managing disputes where personal, financial, and emotional interests are deeply intertwined.

Anja is committed to the principles of Therapeutic Justice and believes in approaching each matter with both rigour and sensitivity, working towards practical outcomes that prioritise her clients' long-term interests and the welfare of children.
