HEP advised Wee Hur Holdings Ltd. in relation to a JV for the ownership, redevelopment and management of One Bedford Place

The corporate practice group of Harry Elias Partnership LLP has advised SGX-ST Mainboard-listed integrated developer Wee Hur Holdings Ltd. (“WHH”) in relation to a joint venture for the ownership, redevelopment and management of One Bedford Place, a 26-storey Grade A commercial building in Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon, which is intended to be redeveloped into a 500-bed purpose-built student accommodation (“PBSA”). The joint venture forms part of WHH’s broader entry into the fast-growing Hong Kong PBSA sector, which is underpinned by increasing international student enrolment and a significant shortage of PBSA housing. The transaction required the implementation of a joint venture governance, bank financing and shareholder funding arrangements with management service structures supporting the development and operation of the asset and interested person transactions. The team worked closely with WHH, facilitating the group's continued expansion into the Hong Kong student accommodation market. Partner Claudia Teo led the transaction, ably assisted by Huang Zhihao (Partner) and Eugene Tai (Senior Associate).
