Claudia is Head of the Firm’s Corporate and Financial Services Practice Group.
Her main areas of practice are in corporate finance and M&A transactions throughout Asia. She has 20 years of experience in corporate finance, advising on initial public offerings on the Singapore Stock Exchange, listing of convertible securities, placements and rights issue, privatizations, compliance and corporate governance issues and more recently, assisted in listings on foreign exchanges. She has also been involved in landmark transactions including the listing of the first Pan Asian REIT with an initial property portfolio of SGD700 million (voted the 9th largest deal by Asian Counsel magazine).
Before joining the Firm, Claudia practiced with a local law firm and an international law firm in Singapore. Prior to that, she lived and worked abroad for 12 years in both London and Hong Kong where she also practiced with two Hong Kong law firms, advising on initial public offerings and compliance issues on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Claudia has been recommended and is described by the Asia Pacific Legal 500 as having a ‘flexible, walk-the-extra-mile approach’ and in the latest edition 2010/2011, ‘always goes the extra mile’. She has also been recommended in the Asian In-House Handbook 2009, as she has acted for ‘several high-profile clients in banking and corporate finance’. Her practice group was recently awarded "Singapore Securities Firm of the Year" by Corporate Int'l Magazine 2011 Global Award and was ranked (by deal count) No. 8 in the Bloomberg South East Asia Mergers & Acquisitions Legal Advisory League Tables 2011 (Quarter 2).
Claudia sits as a member of the investment committee of Ren Ci Hospital & Medicare Centre, a Singapore charity. She is dually qualified as a barrister and a solicitor of England and Wales and is admitted to the Rolls of Solicitors of Hong Kong. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 1990.
