"Being a practice of firsts
is not about size or glory.
It is about leaders inspiring our people
to be courageous, curious and creative.
It is about strengthening our ethical core in
Resilience, Reliability and Responsibility.
Only in this way can we truly say
that we put our clients first."
Philip Fong, Managing Partner
We are fiercely proud of our reputation and the high quality of our work. A member of HEP is someone who is intelligent, practical, a keen learner, diligent, able to be a team player, and yet able to work independently.
We pride ourselves on providing a professional and positive working environment. When you join HEP, you will enter into a professional environment of collegiality and collaboration and be a key player in the HEP team. You will thrive in this culture by building relationships with other members of HEP and with clients. We will train and support you so that you reach your full potential.
We have won third place in the ALB Employer of Choice 2012, an award given by the Asian Legal Business to firms which were given positive feedback by their employees on key areas such as work-life balance, renumeration, promotion prospects, and IT support, among others.
"Harry Elias Partnership, meanwhile, appears in third place
after being notably absent from last year's ranking.
The firm is praised by a respondent for offering great practical experience and
having directors who are approachable and willing to do work with us (associates)."
Asian Legal Business
We regularly organise get-together sessions, outings and lunches, as well as biennial overseas firm’s trips to places such as Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam and participate in competitions with other law firms and organisations. Our lawyers also participate in local and overseas conferences, and we support our professional staff to take part in skill development and upgrading courses.
In line with our philosophy, we are a practice with a heart and believe strongly in contribution towards society. We actively participate in pro bono work and have adopted various charities, and organised events, such as charity golf, to help them raise funds. We have provided and continue to provide career opportunities to the disadvantaged.
