Wei Jin is a partner in our Corporate group. His principal areas of practice are in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate, as well as securities regulatory and compliance matters.
He has regularly acted for both purchasers and vendors of assets and businesses, both in sale by private negotiations and in sale by tenders. He has also acted for Singapore and foreign companies in their initial public offerings on the Singapore Exchange, in takeover and privatisation transactions and acts as legal counsel to listed companies to ensure post listing regulatory compliance.
Wei Jin has advised on regulatory compliance, including legal reviews of internal regulatory compliance procedures for financial institutions. His regulatory background comes from his service as a Deputy Public Prosecutor with the Commercial Affairs Department, where he was involved in the prosecution of regulatory offences.
Wei Jin is qualified with a LLB (Hons) and a LL.M., both from the National University of Singapore, as well as a M.B.A. (Investment and Finance) from the University of Hull.
Wei Jin was called to the Singapore Bar in 1995.
