As a new measure that allows parents to seek the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority’s help to stop their spouse from abducting their child out of Singapore is put in place, senior social affairs correspondent Theresa Tan spotlights the lengths to which parents go to find their children and bring them home.

Lawyer Ivan Cheong of Eversheds Harry Elias advises parents to use legal means to reunite with their child. Snatching a child back is traumatic for the kid and may be illegal, even when the child is wrongfully taken out of Singapore.

“Two wrongs do not make a right,” he added.
