Matrimonial & Family Law Head and Partner Foo Siew Fong successfully obtains care and control for client in highly publicised divorce case involving doctor parents

Matrimonial & Family Law Head and Partner, Ms Foo Siew Fong was successful in helping a mother obtain care and control of her younger son in a bitterly contested legal battle.

In the Judgment released, Justice Judith Prakash in her Grounds said she awarded custody of the 16-year-old son to the boy's doctor mother, due to his father's "extremely adult" lifestyle.

Not only did the doctor father have extramarital relationships with other women, he allegedly took his two teenage sons to a gun club, smuggled his elder son into a nightclub to drink alcohol and let his sons indulge in video games until the wee hours of the morning. 

The court awarded the wife more than $7 million in value from the division of assets and maintenance money.
