HEP Law Office appoints new partner in Brunei

We are pleased to announce that Ms Neilia Tan is now the new Partner of Brunei HEP Law Office with effect from 1 June 2014.

Ms Tan brings with her, extensive experience in civil, commercial and criminal litigation, both during private practice and during public service in the Attorney General’s Chambers (Civil Division).

She has provided legal advice to Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies and statutory boards and was involved in negotiating and drafting MOUs, contracts and statutory interpretation and debt recovery.

She has also been involved in the preparation and assistance in the conduct of arbitration and other dispute resolution cases involving the Brunei Government. She also handled matters involving children and young persons including protection cases for abuse and victims of sexual crime, child abandonment and neglect cases.

Ms Tan is also experienced in handling Conveyancing matters, debt recovery for banks as well as construction disputes.
