Harry Elias Partnership sponsors inaugural mediation lecture series

Harry Elias Partnership LLP has formally pledged to collaborate and provide financial support to Singapore Management University in its latest educational venture. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed yesterday to formalize the collaboration between HEP, SMU and the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC) to introduce a series of free public lectures on international commercial mediation.

The move comes in light of the increasing trend towards usage of mediation as a conflict resolution tool, and the inaugural lecture will see former President SR Nathan as the guest speaker. The event will be held on 29 August 2012 at the Supreme Court Auditorium.

This marks the first time a leading law firm in Singapore is committing itself to educating businesses on issues of international commercial mediation, showcasing even further how HEP lives up to its name of being a "Practice of Firsts", and committed to upholding standards in the legal sector.
