Leading full-service law firm Harry Elias Partnership today announced significant developments in its Disputes practice with the appointment of Andy Lem as Co-Head of Civil and Commercial Litigation, and S Suressh as Co-Head of International Arbitration.
These appointments are crucial to the Firm’s strategic objectives as it seeks to maintain and further reinforce its reputation as one of the few truly leading disputes practices in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Andy, with his extensive experience in representing clients in disputes arising from contractual matters, fiduciary duties, negligence, defamation, general asset recovery, probate, infringement of intellectual property and land law, will lead the Civil and Commercial Litigation practice alongside Philip Fong, who is also the Firm’s Managing Partner and Head of Fraud and Financial Crime.
Highly experienced practitioner S Suressh will take up the role of Co-Head of International Arbitration together with Francis Goh. With a legal career spanning over three decades, Suressh has acted as counsel in variety of international arbitrations, including commercial disputes, as well as in the aviation, shipping and transport sectors. He has also acted before the High Court and Court of Appeal in respect of arbitration related matters. Suressh will continue to lead the compliance practice dealing with AML, data protection and competition matters.
