Sharmini is a Partner in the Firm’s Civil and Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Her main areas of expertise include disputes arising from contractual matters, fiduciary duties, negligence, defamation, employment matters, judicial review and international law. She has also engaged in advisory and prosecution work on behalf of professional bodies such as the Singapore Medical Council and the Law Society of Singapore. Some of her notable representations include, the Republic of the Philippines in the recovery of monies allegedly misappropriated by the former President Marcos and his family, Schroder Venture Asia Pacific Fund in a dispute concerning its investment of over USD100 million in Aman resorts, as well as the Singapore Medical Council in relation to the prosecution of Professor Shorvon in London, UK for professional misconduct.

Sharmini obtained her Masters in Law from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and has a Business & Law Certificate from the Wharton Business School. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 2005 and the New York Bar in 2011.
