Jonathan is a Partner in the Firm’s Civil and Commercial Litigation Practice Group and is also Head of the Firm's Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group.

His areas of practice include advising clients on breach of contract, shareholders’/directors’ disputes, joint-ventures, defamation, restraint of trade / non-competition; and Technology & IP related issues such as infringement and passing-off, commercialisation and media regulatory compliance. He has appeared as Lead Counsel before the Singapore Court of Appeal, successfully arguing issues involving interpretation of contractual terms, breach of contract /fiduciary duties and equitable remedies.

Jonathan trained in negotiation at Harvard Law School, is certified as an Associate Mediator by the Singapore Mediation Centre and regularly mediates at the Subordinate Courts of Singapore. He also teaches negotiation and alternative dispute resolution for the Singapore Institute of Legal Education's Preparatory Course Leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examination, and conducts in-house seminars on negotiation skills, dispute and contract management.

Jonathan is a board member of the Singapore Civil Service College, a statutory board under the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office, tasked with the mission to roll out leadership, policy and governance programmes for public officers and the civil service. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and was awarded with top distinction in the B.A Mallal Moot Competition in 2002. He was called to the Singapore Bar in 2003.
